FIESTA or Piyesta in Filipino, will bring a smile to the face of almost any Filipino. Derived from the Spanish word which means feast, it is a special time with friends, family, food, and lots of activities in honor of a saint such as offering for a good harvest or to celebrate thanksgiving. A popular indication of a fiesta approaching is when the town begins to put up banderitas (stringed flags) or fringes on the streets.
Fiesta’s upper is painstakingly frayed by hand by our women artisans to produce a threadbare upper.
